I've had a busy past few days...
On Thursday night I went to the Halloween dance which was super fun. I went as Harry Potter... it was epic. Then I had Wind Symphony next morning at 7:00 am... After school that day I went to my friend's Halloween party at her house. Slept in on Saturday morning, then went trick or treating with two friends. Then on Sunday morning I went to my dad's friend's house and raked leaves for 3 hours, watched the Spruce Meadows showjumping on tv, worked on art, and then went to the barn.

So I went and got Joker, all was good.. we groomed, tacked up. He was really good up until the bridle.. he really did NOT want it in his mouth. He was bobbing his head up and down, backing up etc. He eventually broke one of the crossties, it really freaked me out and I just couldn't do it anymore. So I took off his saddle and brought him back out to the pasture. He was being really cute once we got out.. so I decided to do some groundwork with him. Starting with the lead rope, then I took it off leaving just his halter. I walked away from him, and he started following me. After that, I started running around with him trotting after me! When I stopped, he stopped. We even went over a jump together! It was really awesome, and I'm glad we had some fun after the bridle fiasco..

MAN, I love my horse.

Today, my dad and I went out to the Greenhawk Tack store. We checked out some bridles and bits, and we ended up getting a black bridle and a full-cheek french link snaffle. We also got another curry brush, some horse treats and winter riding gloves. After we went to the tack store, we drove back home, got something to eat.. then we went over to the barn to try out the new bridle. It fit perfectly and Joker responded really well to it. It looks pretty nice on him too. We had a really good ride, he was very willing to do what I asked of him.

I have recently become obsessed with MLIA ( [link] )... spent a good couple hours reading the stories on there yesterday..

I saw Zombieland with my boyfriend on Saturday. It was hilarious. Kinda gorey, but whatever. Some girl sitting in front of us left 10 minutes in cause she couldn't handle zombies eating people alive... I highly suggest it to people who aren't queasy.

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone gets to spend the holiday with their family.

Yesterday was the Rockton Fair, I went with my friends and we watched the Hunter/Jumper show, went on a couple rides and ate overpriced fair food! The show was pretty cool, lots of good riders and some really nice looking horses. Lots of falls though, one girl fell off her horse and landed right on the fence, I don't think she continued with the show.. cause she looked pretty badly hurt.

Today, I'm working on art (for school and some trades), going horseback riding later and helping my mom with the Thanksgiving dinner. Sorry about the long wait with trades, I've just been so busy with school art, I have no motivation to finish anything else. We're working on an assignment right now with Conte and it's so. darn. messy. The assignment is due Tuesday so I have to finish that before I get on trades, sorry.

Gah, I just love fall. The weather has been really nice and cool lately, even though it's been raining a lot.

I don't know if any of you watch Heartland, but the season premiere was on last night and ...it was awesome. Ty and Amy are FINALLY together. Pretty much everything about the episode was perfect, except for stupid Caleb. If you don't know what it's about, it's based on the Heartland books, Amy Fleming, her sister and her grandpa own a horse ranch and help with neglected horses.

So, today after school I went to see Joker. He got his feet done today, they look great. I used my english saddle today and I'm getting a lot more confident when I'm riding him. We can trot for a long time, and I feel like I have a lot more control over him. I had set up a jump with the poles lying on the ground so we could practice trotting through. Once we get to the poles Joker ACTUALLY jumped over them! It was so cute.. and fun. The owner of the stables, Brenda, said one day a bunch of other boarders are gonna get together and go for a trail ride, she said it will be good for me to get used to riding out there and it'll be better to go with other people. Should be fun!

Sorry for lack of art and stuff, I've been really lacking motivation to finish art lately..

*cough* Hi all, I'm still sick.. took yesterday off from school and half of today. I went in around the end of lunch so I wouldn't miss my art presentation.. which I couldn't really do so ~Isabella-Elric spoke for me. Love ya, Rachel. I finished my entire portfolio thank gosh, it was taking soooo long. I'll try to get some pictures of it when my teacher is done marking it.

Some kitty news;
We found out that Milo has passed away, my friend Mica found him in the cornfield in between our houses. We think it may have been poison that killed him. Rest in peace, little buddy. No news of Henry yet, and .. I'm really starting to think he's not coming back. My grandma loved the cats and was pretty lonely without them so my uncle decided to look for some cats online for adoption. He found this pretty little cat named Pearl; [link] So today my uncle, grandma and I went out to see her and she turned out to be really sweet, she's got all her shots.. she's fixed. I could tell my grandma really liked her so we brought her home and she's fitting in really nicely so far. She has this one little thing where she nips your fingers if you pet her in certain places but other than that she's really sweet. I lost my camera.. so I don't know when I can get some pics of her.

Joker news;
Went to the barn on Sunday and brought my western saddle with me (this one: [link]). And we tried it on Joker, it fits!! It looks pretty darn spiffy on him, and it's really comfy too. Gonna go see him again tomorrow after school.
